Sleep!

Sleep is more important than I ever believed. When you sleep well at night you may not really think about how getting a good nights sleep is so critical to your overall health and wellbeing. As a matter of fact, if you’re not sleeping well and getting proper rest, then your body suffers. Sleeping helps your body repair itself while it is resting.Experts say the average person needs between 7 and 8 hours of good rest to be the most beneficial to your body and health.

It’s usually not until we start to feel tired and not well rested when we find we are not sleeping well. We can start by getting to bed earlier than usual, which should be by 11pm if you want to get up by 7am. Your quality of sleep is also important. Do you actually feel well rested when you wake up or stiff and groggy? For help with getting a more restful sleep, try not to use caffeinated products like coffee, cola, and even chocolate after noon or 1pm. You don’t want to feel too stimulated or restless when trying to go to sleep. Limit your electronics use such as cell phones and television watching to an hour or two before bedtime to help the body slow down a bit.

Resist the urge to take a sleeping pill. Over the counter and some prescription sleep aids can be harmful so be careful and consult with a medical professional for what’s best for you. For a natural approach to helping to get a better nights rest, try a cup of chamomile tea. It can help calm you and feel drowsy. I also like melatonin. Start with 5 milligrams before going to sleep. CBD can also be effective since it can calm you down and relieve some anxiety so your mind can feel less stressed. I like the spray version. Check it out: www.ordermysprays.com/Libella . Hope this helps you get the rest your body needs so it can enhance your awake lifestyle and wellness.
